This week (and it’s only Wednesday!) has been challenging here at Write Change Grow.
I started having problems with my laptop on Sunday. Consequently, I’ve spent the last four days working tirelessly on getting it up and running properly. To be honest, it has been a stressful, frustrating couple of days.
There was definitely a point in time where I could have thrown my laptop in the rubbish bin and never touched it again. There were even a few tears. Thankfully, I stuck it out, got help from a professional and have the problem fixed.
Along with the technical issues, I found out I missed out on a great opportunity I had applied for. It was a big disappointment.
In line with the last couple of days, I figured it was time to feature more of my favourite motivational songs.
Because sometimes you just have in hang in there, stay motivated, believe in yourself and power on.
I challenge you to not start singing, dancing or tapping along to ‘Firework’ by Katy Perry. Whilst the video takes on some serious themes, it’s done in an uplifting, positive way. I also love this video since it appears to be filmed in Budapest, a city which holds some wonderful travel memories for me.
It’s hard to not get caught up in the passion of this U2 song. Come to think of it, this song is another travel memory. Visiting Ireland in 2006, I remember looking out onto a gorgeous Irish day and having this song playing in the background. It has stayed with me ever since.
While I am not a huge fan of rap music, I love the Alica Keys element of this song. With her amazing voice and excellent visuals of my favorite city; it’s hard to not get carried away to New York with this song.

I am not sure why but I have always loved this song by New Radicals. I think it’s the defiant, gutsy nature of the lyrics. Admittedly I had never seen this particular video clip before today, but the song always makes me feel energised and ready to take on my next challenge.
This is an oldie but a goodie. Gloria Estefan singing ‘Reach’. I get goose bumps when I listen to this – enough said.
As I mentioned in my earlier motivational songs post, I was a huge Glee fan. When it comes to wanting to sing out loud, you can’t really go past this one.
I have always loved this song for its powerful lyrics and upbeat music.
Though it is primarily a love song, I couldn’t resist this last one. After all what man, woman or child doesn’t want to be told – ‘you’re amazing just the way you are’.
I hope these songs helped brighten your day!
For double the motivation, listen to the songs from an earlier post My 7 Motivational Songs.
If you enjoyed this post, please forward it onto your friends. Sharing is always greatly appreciated. Thanks
I can sympathize with you Thea. My computer died toward the end of last month so installing all my programs on this new one and then finding out that some of the backups I had weren’t showing up was SO frustrating. I fought with this stuff for days and was about ready to throw my hands up.
These songs could have come in handy for me then too but at least now I have some to listen to when and if that occurs again.
Thanks for sharing these, I’m tapping my feet over there this morning. 🙂

Hi Adrienne
So wonderful to see you here again, thank you so much for commenting. I am so glad you enjoyed the motivational music in the post. Toe tapping is always a good thing!
It is truly horrible when our computers don’t work or have major issues. It is so stressful and frustrating. I am glad to hear you got it sorted in the end though.
Thanks again for stopping by and I hope to see you here again shortly.
Merry Christmas
Cheers
Thea
