Today I thought I would post something completely different.
If you follow me on Twitter, you will know that a couple of weeks ago I was working on a love poem.

My best friend got married in August and asked me to write a poem for her wedding.
I felt honored that I was asked to write a poem and read it at their wedding.
Considering it’s been a long time since I’ve been head over heels in love with someone and well over a decade since I wrote my last poem, I think the end result turned out quite well.
The bride and groom loved it, which was the main thing!
Since a few people asked about the poem on Twitter, I thought I would share it with you.
So here goes.
From this moment, we are joined together in love, friendship, and trust
Our hearts and minds entwined
Joy and laughter will fill our lives, family will be our light
I will love and nurture you all of our days – my partner, my friend, my companion
We will share our goals and dreams, together we will shine
Devotion and respect will be our guide
We will discover and grow, bringing out the best in each other
I will support and encourage you on our journey – my fellow traveler, my buddy, my mate
Our path will be paved with respect and admiration
As we take this step forward
I dreamt of you and here you stand, from this moment.
It was a beautiful wedding and they are a truly amazing couple. Here’s to love!
