This blog, prior to having some design work done, used to have a blogroll. A blogroll, generally being a list of favourite or recommended blogs. I made the decision to remove this blogroll when the redesign was finished.
Since I first started blogging (when the blogroll was originally put together) I have discovered some great new blogs.
Today I thought I would share a list of my current favourite blogs and give a small explanation of why I enjoy them so much. Some of these may be familiar to you already as I often link to them in both my posts and on my Facebook page.
I have been reading Susan Johnston’s blog for quite a while now. I love that Susan is a working freelancer and provides other freelancers who are both starting out and established with valuable information, guidance and advice.
Whilst I have since found a lot of other great writing blogs, I have continued to read this one regularly.
I have only recently discovered this blog by freelance writer Carol Tice, but I have to say I am loving it. Carol has some great advice for freelancers based on her solid years of experience. The advice is honest and down to earth.
Obviously a lot of other people also love this blog as it recently won a spot in the Top Ten Blogs for Writers.
Even though I am not a minimalist (in the sense that I have more possessions than I dare to count), I love this blog. The parts of minimalism that I wholeheartedly embrace are freedom and simple living.
Tammy Strobel writes in such an authentic, joyful manner. Her website design is also superb. I love her crisp, clean yet welcoming design. Tammy also loves cats (and with me being a crazy cat lady, I have to admire that).
If you are looking to grow your blog traffic, than you can’t go past Think Traffic by Corbett Barr. Corbett writes compelling and helpful content.
I also love the visual look of this site. Come to think of it, all of Corbett’s sites have a highly polished professional look.
I have been getting quite hooked on this site lately. Tyler Tervooren certainly provides some thought provoking and unusual content based around risk taking.
Last Sunday I bought Tyler’s new Guerrilla Influence Formula (Enlightened One edition) which I can keen to put into action. Once I am further into the program, I will report back here on my progress.
This blog has been a fairly recent find that I can not stop reading. The writer Ashley Ambirge is bold, sassy, says it like it is and inspiring. She also tends to swear a bit which doesn’t bother me. It is a blog about having the guts, determination and motivation to go after what you want and grab it with both hands. Like I said, I can’t get enough of this one.
The tagline for Tiny Buddha says it all – Simple wisdom for complex lives. This blog has something for everyone with categories such as happiness and fun, letting go, work fulfilment, meaning and passion and several more. It is a great place to be inspired, learn and seek comfort
When I first started reading this blog, it was called Free Pursuits. The writer, Corbett Barr has since changed the name. The concept of lifestyle design still remains, though Corbett has now incorporated aspects of entrepreneurship and doing business online. This site is full of interesting and useful content.
Originally this one started as a minimalist blog but now it have evolved into so much more. Everett Bogue now writes about the future of human/technological evolution. Okay, so you might actually have to read this one to fully appreciate what Everett writes about.
Despite whether you agree with all of Everett’s ideas, he definitely gets you thinking (which of course is precisely the point).
So what are your favourite blogs at the moment? What blogs are you reading regularly and can not get enough of?
